Bringing A Timeless Message To A Changing World

When my dear sweet friend contacted me about doing family pictures for him and his family I thought “Sure I would love to document your family as they are and capture that moment in time for you!" you know the normal response to such a normal request. After I had an opportunity to talk to his wife I thought differently. I had become so excited to document this exciting and big change in their lives. She had let me in on a BIG secret. I had to keep that secret till after they had let their family, church members, and close friends know before I could share their exciting news. I am happy to finally be able to share their sweet story.   

This is such a BIG step in their lives. Some might look at it as just a step in life, a big adventure, a leap of faith. For them it’s trusting in God's plan. Trusting that there is a purpose with their lives, putting their trust that God has a plan for them; A plan that is for God's glory.

What an incredible life an amazing God has given us!  My family and I are very excited as we step into a new chapter of our life and hope you will share in our excitement. 

In 2012, we began attending Retro Church in McDonough, GA.  We quickly realized that we were where God wanted us to be and soon became very involved in this young, start-up church. The church quickly began to grow, and by 2013, God opened a door, and I was able to use my background to serve by keeping track of the church’s finances.  I have continued to fill that role and also become part of the church leadership as we have grown.  Through that growth, we have personally experienced and witnessed amazing life change.   In just two years, we have seen over 60 people come to know Christ and over 50 people Baptized.   Following life change, we have seen people and families invest back into the vision of the church; last year alone we estimated over 5000 volunteer hours served. 

The mission of Retro is “Bringing A Timeless Message To A Changing World”; bringing the message of Jesus to the un-churched in a new and exciting way.  We feel God has called us to commit our lives to seeing the vision of this church fulfilled, as the Gospel is spread in Henry County and beyond.   The power of spreading the message of Jesus Christ is undeniable; through it we have seen marriages mended, addictions and sickness overcome, and most importantly people changed for eternity!  There is no greater fulfillment than to know God has allowed us to be part of his perfect plan in other people’s lives as they come to know Him.    

What this means for us is we will be accepting the call to full-time ministry and investing our lives into the vision God has given Retro Church.  The church is growing and there is much to be done.
